Minton aesthetic period cup & saucer. Mid Victorian period.
The multifloral Set in the style of lily pad leaves. Cup is raised on three small feet and with a naturalistic 'twig' shaped handle. Plain interior while the outer cup and inside saucer are multi floral designs 
The pattern number, S1605 comes from the range of numbers given to high quality and elaborately decorated tableware.
Hand painted. Gilt trim. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 1885.
